The SLAM Education Project is a social initiative that strives to increase quality educational opportunities for children in rural and peri-urban areas in India. To do so, the project aims to provide safe and sustainable infrastructural spaces to emphasize the importance of educational and creative intervention for students with hindered access to quality education.
The project aims to foreground the importance of holistic creative education: it is thus focused on installing a sustainable multi-purpose educational and play area from recycled rubber material. This robust infrastructure aims to underscore sustainable practices while maximizing learning and holistic growth opportunities for students from underserved communities, particularly in the domains of science, literacy, arts, and music. Further, the project attempts to create awareness among local communities about the importance of conducive learning spaces, environmental efforts, and educational infrastructure by facilitating personnel for the maintenance of existing educational infrastructures.
